Book Release: Explore Spiders of India

We invite you to join us for the launch of this book at 10:30 AM on Sunday, May 22, 2022, at the Sankey Forest Campus. The proceedings will start with an informal gathering over a cup of coffee, an introduction to the book by the author, speeches by the invited guests of honour, and the book release.

About the Book
These eight-legged wonders are found almost everywhere – in all habitats, and are very much a part of our day-to-day life. We notice some spiders; others remain unnoticed in our busy schedule. Yet, unlike many other faunal groups, the information available for field identification of spiders is limited.
Explore Spiders of India is an attempt to bridge the gap between scientific works and the inadequate popular literature on this subject. With an emphasis on easy field identification using visual cues and general characters, we believe this handy guide will be invaluable for both amateurs and arachnophiles as well.
This work covers 20 families and over 100 genera that are found in natural habitats, gardens, and even at homes. We hope that this book will instil an appreciation of spiders in readers and start them on a wonderful journey into their world.
